Ursula Kirchmayer, MPH, FISPE is a pharmacoepidemiologist in the Department of Epidemiology, ASL Roma1 of the Lazio Regional Health Service in Rome, Italy with training in pharmacy and a master’s degree in Public Health. She entered the Department of Epidemiology in 1998, where she worked in the field of environmental epidemiology for 10 years. In 2007 she had the opportunity to become part of the clinical epidemiology unit, where she introduced the topic of pharmacoepidemiology. Since then she has been involved in regional, national and international pharmacoepi research. Ursula Kirchmayer is member of the regional pharmacovigilance commission, represents her department at the European Network of Centres for Pharmacoepidemiology, and Pharmacovigilance (ENCePP), is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology, and co-chair of the pharmacoepi working party of the Italian Epidemiological Association.
